In December 2021, we completed the First Annual Raffle, where we raised over $2,000 to help repair some of the damages incurred by the boat collision accident in August of 2021. The drawing was recorded and reported live by KLASS FM, a popular local radio station in Anguilla.
The winners of the First Annual Raffle were:
The 1st Prize was a new VIZIO – 40″ Class D-Series LED SmartCast TV, which was awarded to Shane by our Event Promoters Irad Gumbs and Rhon Connor at the event since Shane lived right there in Blowing Point and was able to stop by and take it home that night.
The 2nd Prize was a Hand-made Speed & Comfort Replica of the Speed & Comfort, which was awarded to Justine by Irad Gumbs the next day when Justine Stopped by Hungry’s to pick it up.
Congratulations to both Shane and Justin for participating in this historical event to help a worthy cause. We would also like to thank all the other raffle participants for pitching in and helping us to raise over $2,000 for the Speed & Comfort.
On January XX, 2012, Irad and Rhon met with Erin Hodge and delivered a check of $2,xxx for the proceeds of the raffle. Erin expressed much joy and happiness to finally have the needed resources to begin the restoration work required to get the Speed & Comfort back in shape in time for the Anguilla Day boat race on May 30, 2022.
